  7. VXT 2000 Windowing Terminals is composed of eight models built on a similar
  8. architecture with common software functionality. Users can initiate multiple
  9. terminal and X Window applications simultaneously on SCO UNIX, ULTRIX, and
  10. OpenVMS systems across the network. TCP/IP, LAT, and DECnet communications
  11. protocols are supported on thick wire, thin wire, and twisted pair Ethernet.
  12. VXT Software include the OSF MOTIF window manager and extensive capabilities to
  13. manage groups of VXT 2000s from a single desktop.

  15. The software comes standard with the X Imaging Extensions (XIE) with the
  16. capability to add an optional imaging accelerator to the VXT 2000 hardware. An
  17. InfoServer 100/150 is supported by the VXT software that enables the
  18. off-loading of booting and font access from host systems on the network. The
  19. InfoServer also enables the use of virtual memory management in the VXT 2000
  20. eliminating desktop memory limitations. VXT Software is packaged in SCO format
  21. and media so that the software can be loaded into a SCO UNIX system and booted
  22. from a SCO UNIX system by the VXT 2000. The VXT family of windowing terminals
  23. supports Open Desktop version 2.x.
